Soccer World Ranking - The FIFA Way

Many have been curious how FIFA (Federation of International Football Association) is working out on the soccer world ranking. It is a form of finding out on the game results. A ranking is based on the success of the team during the matches.

In the beginning, the association based the results over the eight years, but in 2006 they have changed the statistics to four years which is more evident and effective. There were criticisms that the eight year period is not accurate and it is such a long process. That's why they made a final decision to reconstruct the rules. In this year's soccer world ranking Spain made it to the first spot.

Along its results they have also made some important awards like Best Team of The Year and Best Mover of the Year which adds interest and effectiveness. Usually those two special awards were based on the top three highest in the rank. This is good information for the players for them to know their standings and how well their team played.

In getting the rank there is a certain formula that the FIFA followed and this is by the average on the points, status and strength of a certain team. In order for a team to hit number one, they should gain more points, less violations and an unending strength. It is indeed tough to hit it since there are a number of teams who are part of the association. Most teams that get in the mark are Brazil, Italy and Germany.
