The 2010 FIFA World Cup has come and gone, but one issue that will sure continue to dominate and maybe influence activities and decisions in Germany, Europe and some other parts of the world is the role of Octopus Paul of Germany. An octopus is a sea animal with soft body and eight arms. And this particular one is believed to have some divination powers.
Paul the octopus is the psychic two-year-old celebrity octopus, who accurately predicted the outcome of all the Germany's matches and the eventual winner of the trophy. This octopus in Sea Life Oberhausen, turned into a global celebrity for correctly picking the winners of all six of Germany's World Cup matches - including their two defeats to Serbia and Spain. In fact, when it was predicting the final match between Spain and the Netherlands, the major television networks in Germany, Spain, Netherlands and some other places in Europe interrupted their programmes to give live coverage to it. And after it declared that Spain would win the trophy, its predictions attracted reactions from leaders of the affected countries including the Spain's Prime Minister. Even Germany that is not known for superstition flatly fell for this deception. And didn't that look too good for the backsliding Europe; where church buildings are being turned into supermarkets, disco, cinema halls, etc?
Yes, the 2010 World Cup is concluded, but I take it for granted that you know, like other satanic manipulations, that the divination activities of this octopus will continue for a while. People, individuals, organisations, leaders, even nations will go to consult Octopus Paul, or at least fish out their own creatures from the bottom of the sea to begin to give them spiritual guidance. Some will start worshiping it. Others will also start sending gifts to it. And for the ignorant, it is not only octopus that can be used as a medium. Snakes, pythons, monkeys, birds, spirits of the dead and other creatures are used in different parts of the world. Man is always looking for a medium to tell him about his past, present and future. There is that vacuum in man that will always crave for the supernatural and unfortunately, instead of allowing God to fill it, he has always foolishly resorted to the creatures (even demons), leaving the creator.
Remember, the real translation of the spirit of divination (Psychic powers) upon that young girl in Acts 16:16 was actually Python Spirit. And what was it doing? Fortune-telling. Predicting the future and events for the people, while making money for the masters. Imagine, even when she met Paul and his team, she predicted correctly that they were men of God. But, the apostles refused to be manipulated. They identified the demon spirit at work and accordingly cast it out in the name of Jesus Christ. Read, "One day as we were going down to the place of prayer, we met a demon-possessed slave girl. She was a fortune-teller who earned a lot of money for her masters. She followed along behind us shouting, 'These men are servants of the Most High God, and they have come to tell you how to be saved.' This went on day after day until Paul got exasperated that he turned and spoke to the demon within her. 'I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her,' And instantly it left her."
Did you read that? The demon in the girl stated the fact about Paul and their mission. But that did not change the fact that the information was coming from an agent of Satan. This also applies to Paul the Octopus and all other mediums - human and animals. The bible warned us seriously that we should not consult mediums, psychics, palm readers, diviners, clairvoyants, astrologers, fortune - tellers, occults, ESP, etc. In fact, God said that He will afflict those that practice or consult these with generational curses, sicknesses, failure, defeats, etc. Our focus must always be on Jesus Christ and the true biblical operations of the Spirit of God through holiness.
Today, we hear of our political leaders, businessmen, organisations, and groups, who patronize and praise these agents of Satan. Even in the so-called developed world, we see people rush to receive spiritual guidance from them. In fact, some developed countries have official psychics. And this is exactly why God has been angry with all of us. We have given His place to demons.
